In February of 2001, Michael Feeney was asked to find a solution to the liability insurance crisis facing long term care communities. The solution was HealthCap, an insurer solely dedicated to senior care communities. With strong financial stewardship, HealthCap has built a sustainable insurance vehicle writing over $800m in senior care liability premium, one of the largest commitments in the insurance industry to senior care.
HealthCap is the premier member-owned insurance program providing liability insurance to senior care communities. HealthCap has provided broad and stable coverage to its members since 2001 and leads the industry in risk management and claim management services. Our comprehensive risk management services provide onsite risk consulting, education, and 24-hour support. HealthCap clients have both lower claims frequency and lower claims severity than other major liability insurance carriers
HealthCap is a community of senior care professionals, risk managers, defense experts, insurance professionals, and senior care providers working together.
