The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been vigilant in providing information about both new vaccines that have been approved to provide protection against COVID-19. On December 11, 2020, the FDA issued the first emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, and the Moderna vaccine received an EUA shortly after on December 18, 2020. The FDA has web pages containing information and documents about both vaccines, including:

  • Common Side Effects
  • Letter of Authorization from the FDA
  • Fact Sheet for Healthcare Providers Administering Vaccine
  • Fact Sheet for Recipients and Caregivers
  • FDA Decision Memorandum
  • Press Release
  • Translations of fact sheets in Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and more

Please visit the links below to view information specific to each vaccine.

Stay the course, stay strong, stay well, mask up, and stay tuned!
