What’s better than one hero? A team of heroes!

The Gower Convalescent Center of Gower, Missouri has been keeping residents busy with activities and drive-by visits from families, but pulled off a special surprise recently with the help of multiple local heroes. Anticipating the unique challenges that would affect this year’s Mother’s Day, Ashley Leach of Ashley Leach Photography wanted to do something special for their residents and created a “social distancing photo shoot.” Support soon came from all around the community. The local flower shop gifted silk flowers, community members donated accessories such as jewelry and scarves, and the facility’s own staff members donated their time to take charge of hair and makeup.

At the end of the day, 55 residents had personal photoshoots and frames were donated so they could either display their pictures or gift them to loved ones. We adore this incredible show of teamwork to brighten the days of so many beautiful ladies, and want to extend a sincere thank you to all of the true heroes who made this possible. Just look at those smiles!
