Yes, COVID AGAIN

Honestly, it just doesn’t seem to ever end, that light at the end of the tunnel sure looks like an oncoming train! The minute we are told to unmask, COVID infection numbers and hospitalizations skyrocket. The minute we think we can breathe easy we are told not to breathe without a mask on! The reason? A significant proportion of COVID-19 transmission is by asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic people. Whew, it just continues to challenge us and make us question the experts, right?

In many states across the country, COVID rates have risen to the point of being considered high levels, and additional interventions such as masks in public settings are being recommended (not required in most states). I have not observed these recommendations being implemented in many of the places I have visited this week. In fact, even employees of markets and diners aren’t masked which surprised me from an employment perspective.

At the end of the day my friends, we are not in the clear. The world is continuing to turn and gas prices are continuing to rise, so why would we think COVID was going away? The good news is that someday we will accept this fact, take appropriate precautions as needed but more importantly, LIVE! Stop fearing tomorrow, and if you do get infected, treat your symptoms, avoid exposing others and breathe! Stay the course, stay well and stay informed!
